A few days ago I was playing Fallout 3 and the disc ended up getting a huge scratch, making a semi-circle in the disc that goes about half way around. Can I hope to get this disc readable again with such a large scratch? If so, what do I do?

The bad thing to do is to rent a copy and replace ;]

or take it to a place that resurfaces the disc
