IT really depends on how much the motion plus is supported in the future and how much it takes off. There's no doubt the game will be a success, but whether it'll be a 10 million success or more of a 20 million success remains to be seen. |
That would effect sales if Motion Plus wasn't sold seperatly. In the end people who want WiiMotionPlus will get it with the games they want. They aren't going to go out and buy WSR they will go out and buy the game they want and get WM+ bundled with the software they want. Its not like WiiPlay which was pretty much the only way you would get a second controller, and WiiPlay sold like 22 million units and today is nowhere to be seen. Why is WiiPlay not selling anymore? Because people can buy controllers seperatly again.
A title like WSR needs to have a monopoly over the hardware, like WiiPlay did with the Wiimote, WiiFit did with the balance board and WiiSports did with the Wii. WiiSportsResort however doesn't have that hardware monopoly people will buy the games they want bundled with WM+ or they will buy WiiMotionPlus seperatly.
I still don't think WSR stands a chance of toppling the likes of MarioKart, it may rival SmashBros but not MarioKart or WiiFit!
