From now on, every time I see a so called "hardcore" reviewer or fanboy who spews garbage like this, I will place this video in my post that perfectly illustrates their state of denial towards the Wii especially. Enjoy.

Yeah, I only trust IGN for my wii reviews. I only have one problem with them and that is that they sometimes give games a too high score because they're rated M or hyped A LOT. But the conduit review is pretty fair and the game is worth the score.

His review has fanboyism written all over it. The several reviews I read, the reviewers mentioned that the controls will take some getting use to and that you can try out different schemes for your taste.

When he said you do the same formula over and over again, you just walk into a room shoot and clear and do it over again. Is that what Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 is? I mean all games have a same formula within it. So basically that is just a pointless statement.

No, that is not what Halo and Gears are. Those two games would be awful for trying to draw that comparison: their gameplay is mighty varied!

I'm not defending this review, just for the record, as I have not read it.

Gerstmann was always a hack but people seem to respect him because he was martyred at GameSpot because they fired him under suspicious circumstances.  Of course, he may have seen the writing on the wall and manufactured them himself.  If you go back and read forums on some of his old reviews at GameSpot, you will see that there are many of them that gamer's in general just didn't agree with.  Not just on the Wii (although it is pretty obvious at this point he hates the Wii), but on other consoles as well.
