Two things I like about Forza are the complete customization of the cars, both the interior and exterior of them and the auction house where you can buy and sell vehicles eBay style. I don't think GT has either. I could be wrong though. Other than that, I find both games to be bland and sterile, but I suppose that's the appeal of them. What I'd like would be a game as lengthy and in depth as them, but with a more exciting racing engine behind it.

There is a very, very good chance both of those features will be in GT5.

That would be very cool for GT owners. Outfitting my cars in new colors, stripes, decals, etc. and putting in new exhausts, engine blocks, etc. and then putting cars on the market and buying others from people online is my favorite feature of Forza, and if it weren't for the boring racing I probably would have played the game forever.

@Munkeh-From the reviews I read on Grid, it has a very low number of vehicles and no customization to the inside of them to improve performance. I might still pick it up when it's cheaper, but at the moment I can get my arcade racing from Burnout Paradise until something comes along to mesh the best of both worlds.

There are 45 vehicles, but maybe too few tracks and yes no customisation, though I am not really into that. I got it cheap anyway, £14, though I did not realise it was slighty damaged. It is not arcadey in the same style as Burnout Paradise, but more like Project Gotham Racing 4

Grid is a fantastic game, I played it everyday for months and months non stop (didn't take the game out the 360 once in this time), the online is fantastic fun too (and always busy), one of the most enjoyable racing games this generation, and i think it's only £15 from gamestation (in the uk) now, brand new!

This.

But to be fair, none of these games is out, so... pretty hard to compare them when we don't REALLY know what's in there and how they play.

They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts

I was under the impression that Forza had a lot more community aspects to it which set it apart AKA tweaking and modding. That said I do not know if GT5 has similar community aspects as the focus up until now has been on the list below. It will be nice if one of the differences between the two comes down to fun which I think will be different for a real sim racer fanboy and the kinda of person drawn to the modding.

How many cars
How many tracks
The types of cars
The graphics of the car
The graphics of the scenery
How many cars in a race
Physics
Damage

This is actually a much better thread but I feel the differences will be lost in the repeating of the above.

The biggest diff between the 2 will be content. Num of tracks, num of cars, num of features, num of game modes.

Anyway GT was first, forza can only copy and try to follow
