Forums - Nintendo - What 3rd party game to buy next?

This is my first post. Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of nintendo and a long time forum-browser at vgchartz. I decided to register as the wii ownerbase here seems relatively mature compared to other game sites.

Most importantly though I finally have gotten rid of some financial obligations and am deciding to take the plunge into 1 or 2 new videogames, There have been a slew of titles recently that I wanted including... Madworld, HOTD: OK, Punch-Out, Boom Blox: BP that up til this moment I hadn't been able to own due to prioritizing my finances and buying solely games i know i will enjoy (ie. Nintendo Games). Now that I am totally in the GREEN, i have decided to spend a little of my extra cash on 1 or two third party games. (

What Do I need? I am trying to decide where would be best to put my limited dollars in terms of the following criteria.

1 - Best use of $$$ to my self.

2 - Best use of $$$ to the Wii and Nintendo as a whole.

3 - Best use of $$$ to a 3rd party developer.

Any Ideas? I am really into anything that can be considered a good game, so any suggestion will be taken into account, Thank you

1 - Best use of $$$ to my self.

IMO The Conduit if you like FPS.  I put about 7 hours into the campaign and over 10 hours in online so it will last a LONG time.

2 - Best use of $$$ to the Wii and Nintendo as a whole.

Probably The Conduit again.  MadWorld was a good game but it already didn't sell that great and honestly I didn't think it was as good as No More Heroes even.  People are watching The Conduit and if it sells well expect some big studios to make new FPSs for Wii along with The Grinder actually being able to find a publisher.

3 - Best use of $$$ to a 3rd party developer.

3rd Partys that deserve to be rewarded on Wii IMO...

1. HVS for developing a core game from the ground up with some great tech and great online when nobody else Wii.

Xseed (Madworld) for making an Arty Brawler when nobody else would.  Likewise, for Grasshopper.

If non of these suggestions float your boat.  Maybe Little King's Story is for you?  Although I find the lack of IR controls in the game unsettling at this point.

Okami is indeed a great game as well but its time has passed and honestly I like the presentation a bit better on the PS2 version.

BoomBlox Bash Party is more of the same as the first one but good.

Punch-Out! is amazing but Nintendo is lazy for not including online and they really don't need the money but if you want to support this one it gets my seal of approval.

HoTD is good but short and I would pick it up later at a discount unless you just LOVE rail shooters.

^ This is you!

The Conduit, obviously. Probably the best third party game on the Wii.

Hmm, it seems its either between the Madworld or the Conduit. I am in love with No More Heroes, as the wacky humor and gameplay(which i hope is a little more fleshed out in the sequel) are right up my alley. I loved First Person Shooters back in the day (in a ranked clan for CS: Source and I must admit I do like COD: 4 and 5) but just haven't had the time to devote to them recently.

I am wondering if the humor in Madworld even compares to that in NMH? Can anyone compare? Further is the story in the Conduit as "bad" as people say. As I mentioned before I haven't played many FPSes recently so I figure "generic" storylines won't be so "generic" for me.

I have great things about Conduit but have yet to try it out myself, but No More Heroes and Mad World are both excellent

Well, I think i may go ahead and buy The Conduit, it seems the immediate sales of that are more of a performance metric for future new IPSes to come to the Wii. Thanks for the help.
