Forums - Nintendo - The Conduit Sales?

Considering IGN claims Conduit is the best shooter on the Wii it better garner up some high sales stats. Alot of third parties are probubly watching to see the success of the Conduit. If the Conduit sells well I bet EA, UbiSoft , ActivisionBlizzard and all the other big publishers will produce shooter for next E3. But if the Conduit is not successful then I bet other publishers will continue to publish software for genre's that are successful on the Wii instead of churning out some good shooters.

Also of course the sales of The Conduit will also dictate whether High Voltage begins development on a sequal. Of course it could also affect whether or not Grinder will find a publisher off the bat or not too. Other smaller studios who plan to work on shooters will also be watching The Conduit very closely.

In the end The Conduit will likely dictate the flow of shooters to and for the Wii for some time to come. In the end I suspect The Conduit will reach life cycle sales of around a million copies getting up their with RedSteel!

I go with 85,000 -120-000 First week anyhing more is just plain butter.

I'd go with that.

Agree as well. Though some reviewers are bashing the game...i think the game will still sell well. More of my friends own The Conduit then Smash brothers or mario kart...and most are quite happy with the game. Im almost now more interested in 2 and 3rd week sales to see how the players response to the game influences sales.

wow, lots of people are predicting pretty high 1st week sales, I'm guessing 50-60k in the first week for NA and 30-40k for others when it releases there.

Currently Watching - Naruto, One Piece

Waiting For - Skyrim, Mass Effect 3

PS3 Trophies

First month sales should be a better indicator of word of mouth and the eventual longevity of the title.

If we see an increase during the second or third weeks that sustains through the end of the month; looks good.

If we see a drop of 50% or more over opening week during week 2 (assuming first week sales aren't in the 50-60k range/bad), that could be a problem.

(this is better than ranges, at least if one of them is spot on it looks like i'm a guru :p)

VGChartz is a sales website, so I wish we had more sale data, more previews specially for anticipated games. Btu it has become more game oriented like any other site out there. I still prefer it though (please don't ban me).

Anyways, I think anything over a $100k will be fine.

Actually, I second the comment on the website evolution. I would support a stronger focus on sales data (prediction, analysis etc.) as well and less game reviews and stuff.

If we get good sales on the conduit then we will have more games online more fps's and better quality games, the bar has officially been raised at least for me so I don't expect anything less out of an fps to even touch an 8th of what the total sales are coming this week for the conduit............. If I see an fps by any 3rd party that has multiplayer but doesn't use wiispeak I don't want shit to do with it, I wouldn't even buy it used...........

not released

Is it possible to check the leaderboards to see how many online accounts there are?

I'd imagine there's at least 150k early adopters of this title, a trivial amount given the wii userbase size. I still expect LTD to be approx 1.5 mil, which would be quite a success for an original IP FPS Wii game.
