I'd love to see it reach Dark Knight numbers, but that's probably not going to happen. Although the movie was great in my opinion, the top box office spots are really only for the best of the best films of all time.

Do you have a list handy anywhere? I've been out of the movie loop since Wolverine.
Well, since then, there's been Star Trek, Angels and Demons, Terminator: Salvation, Up, The Hangover, and Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
Upcoming are Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs, Public Enemies, Harry Potter and the half blood prince, GI Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, Inglorius Bastards, Halloween 2, and Final Destination 4 in 3D. That's the big stuff for this summer.

Apple has a good set of trailers.
Thats great, a movie with that huge budget and great story deserves great sales. I have yet to see it.
PROUD MEMBER OF THE PLAYSTATION 3 : RPG FAN CLUB

As expected.
I haven't seen it yet and I'm not going to race out to see it after how disappointing the first one was.

Now that the year has reached the halfway mark, it is now at 5.17 billion for the total gross of the year. Also, the second half of the year has the busiest holidays (July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas) so if the trend keeps up it'll be the first year where the yearly movie total gross has reached 10 billion dollars.. |
Harry Potter will certainly help.
I went into the movie expecting huge explosions, lots of T&A and most importantly, huge robots kicking the shit out of eachother. I left diappointed, and why? Because the movies was to dumb even for that. First let me get this out of the way:
BAY! THE TITLE SAYS TRANSFORMERS! NOT WHINY TEENAGERS! I want less humans, definatly a cut back in the militairy section and more fucking robots! Seriously, the last hour of the movie or so I thought I was watching a commercial for the American armed forces. It almost seemed like Optimus Prime fighting in the end was an afterthought. The only other robot with any screentime was bumblebee basically.
Then there's the acting. I don't expect oscar worthy performances but seriously LeBouf is up there with Keanu Reeves when it comes to expressing emotions. I could be staring at a piece of wood and it would be more convincing of emulating sadness.
The crude and stereotypical humor is just cringeworthy. It is really that bad, no excuses.
In conclusion... Micheal Bay has scarred me for the last time. After the horror that was Pearl Harbor, the barely passable transformers and the abysmal transformers 2 I will not visit anymore of his movies untill it is at elast viewed positively by soms very harsh critics.
The Doctor will see you now
