about 4,248 hours of WoW. 200 hours of disgaea 3, possibly close to 1200 hours of diablo 2... matching that with doom 1/2 maybe...

My 10 most played games all time:

1. Dark Age of Camelot - a great MMORPG i played for two years. I think it was summer 2003 that had such beautiful weather here in Sweden, but I stayed indoors for the whole time leveling. And loved it.

2. Age of Empires II - released in 1999 and probably is my 2nd most favorite game all time. 1000s of hours online for many years when I went to University and lived in a tiny student dorm.

3. Oblivion - best game ever made. So huge for a single player RPG and very addictive and incredible in every way so I just love spending tons of off-time in it's fantastic world. Endless opportunities with PC version and mods.

4. Warlords II - turn based strategy in a fantasy world with both single and multiplayer. No one else here knows about this awesome classic though.

5. Return to Castle Wolfenstein/Enemy Territory expansion - fantastic atmosphere, advanced multiplayer for it's time.

6. Lords of the Realm II - addictive light RTS/resource management and predecessor to the Stronghold series. Played it a lot pre-AoE II.

7. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars - best shooter ever made (PC). Incredible and advanced team play online.

8. Morrowind - not as fantastic as Oblivion but truly a masterpiece. My introduction to The Elder Scrolls.

9. Quake 2 - not a fantastic game, but the best online shooter for it's time. The first online game I put over 100 hours in.

10. Heroes of Might and Magic II - addictive ('one more turn'-phenomenon) and sweet atmosphere

I remember my Phantasy Star Online days. 300+ hrs on that game. Then came a job and marriage. I might get 14 hrs a week if I'm lucky.

The amount of time is dependent on the game really. Most games I tend to only put a fair amount in. However some games I play to exhaustion. Like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - over 12,000 hrs I've put in that game. I got it on launch day and to this very day I stil do at least 10-15mins every days.

I play too much I think, I mostly play strategy games which take so much time I end up playing hours.

@slimebeast I played LotR II and HoM&M 2 a lot years ago both are really awesome games.

I used to when I was younger and broke with alot of free time. Super Mario World, Sim City, Donkey Kong Country 2, Starcraft, Phantasy Star Online, Quake 3, Unreal Tourney, Final Fantasy VII and VIII, bunch of other RPGs I played obsessively like you describe.

But now that I'm an adult I have income and less free time which equates me buying more games and playing them less exhaustively. Which is both good and bad. Good in that I get alot more games. Bad in that I used to get REALLY attached to games, really know them forwards and backwards in and out, know them as "intimately" as you can know a game. Now I usually beat them and move on, and sometimes I don't even beat them. If something is really good I might return to it down the line, but only for a while. Bittersweet.

Probably over 4000 hours in runescape lol. I played that game 1-2 hours a day since 2001. But I don't play it anymore... I never was addicted though :)
And I'ven also played a lot of mario kart double dash... A LOT, let's say 50 hours in singleplayer and 950 hours with 3 other friends? I've played that game for 4 years though. I've also played 80 hours on metroid prime 2 and 30 hours on metroid prime 3.

Cool. I loved LotR II especially. 'a Motte and Bailey', i remember the voice acting so well (it wasn't very common at the time in games).

Just as a frame of reference there is 8,760 hours in a year. So when thinking that you've put thousands of hours into a game, think about how many months of your life have been spent in that game. Food for thought.

All my characters together, my WoW has something like 80-90 days played (or less, been some time since I played last time).
I have also played cs (1.3 and all the way to 1.6) for like 3-4 years, played in clan and stuff
UT99, similar story to cs, just a lot less.
Warcraft 3, I've played through both (wc3+expansion) campaigns like 10times + I played a lot online.
And the last, FLF, a HL mod that I really played a lot for around 2 years.
