I don't really care for infamous and I don't really have any lock ups at all.. I have probably had 3 so far this year and about 10 max in my 1.5 year with my PS3
Currently playing: MAG, Heavy Rain, Infamous
Getting Plat trophies for: Heavy Rain, Infamous, RE5, Burnout and GOW collection once I get it.
I have been playing it today, and it is incredibly fun in spite of glitches
With about 40hrs gameplay:
Twice I fell through the bottom of the city.
Game locked up twice (both times only after I had already beat the game).
Not bad going really. Very annoying when it happened, but I got over it.
Well I just beat it and all is forgiven. It's an awesome game, though not a very technically sound game. But I don't care about tech half as much as I do about design, fun and style and it's got plenty of all three. The ending is really unexpected, I won't spoil it of course, but holy shit, I did not see that coming. I already want to start over so I can play through the evil side, because it's just a fun as hell game.
Anybody that's reading this and is worried that they shouldn't get the game, don't worry. Go get it. For those saying that it's my fault, stop being a tool. Get your mouth off the kool aid cup long enough to be able to call a spade a spade. I love the game, but it could use a couple more months of tweaking.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

you don't know how many extra points that game got in my book for that ending ;)
I haven't had many problems. Sometimes there's the occasional little thing like going through a fence or not being able to grab onto something that looks like you should be able to grab onto it (like some enemy watch towers) and such.
Beat the game without anything extreme like you're describing.
*edit* I wouldn't leave it up to the auto-save all the time as I manually save games often.
I beat the game twice and the only significant bugs I encountered were falling through the map once and having the ocasional enemy/citizen get stuck in an object. Overall they were nothing much of note. I only lost about half a mission when I fell through the map because as a force of habit I save often in every game.

If this game's bugs annoys you...then I fully don't recommend trying out fallout 3 because you will be hella pissed.
Its a great game but its really buggy aswell and alot of glicthes but for me it has never locked, hopefully they can fix it with a patch or something.
