Again, the OP seems to be limiting his mind to the way games are designed now. Full body motion demands a change in the gaming landscape and design of the game. Natal can work how you want. But it's up to devs to design games differently to immerse you more than we could have hoped for.

I see no benefit having a wand. I would prefer if they want a controller alongside the Natal, then use the 360 pad.

Sure the idea of motion using a camera is not "new" but it is new to consoles, and this would be the first time the tech has seen a widespread release on any platform, so in that essence, yes MS is original.

on topic: come on people(besides nightsurge). Microsoft is a huge company. they bought 3dv for this technology. you don't reaally think they have no ideas for it, do you?

if they release and RTS i can control like minority report then ill buy an XBOX for that alone!!

From what I hear, Wii actually had the idea for a console first, they just chose not to do it because they couldn't figure out how to make it work right. MS is innovative enough to give it a shot, and they had the money to buy a company working on it.

Also, people will inevitably bring up the Eyetoy as a hedge against the highlighted statement in the above statement. However, nobody else has been able to do it in 3D, or put enough clout behind it...untill now.
