The "especially" means price is one problem... after all I will have no problem paying full price for Wii Sports Resort, or Super Mario Galaxy 2 when they come out. The rest is just me not being that interested, I played Super Mario Bros. and SMB World before at various houses, probably only cumulating to about an hour but they didn't pull me in much, I was too late to gaming for them I suppose. (Also have SMB:Lost Levels on VC) I bought a MegaDrive about the time the N64 was releasing, and really only enjoyed Micro Machines.

Mario Bros style of gameplay will always be good, it just doesn't get old, and I could always enjoy something like it, but there are enough games I would enjoy more.

As for friends.... I have 1 friend who had a Wii, and shared an X360 with her boyfriend, but they sold both eventually, I have one other friend with any gaming system at all, but they are an N64 and a PS1. And he hasn't bought a system since then. The rest of my friends don't own home consoles, though some have a DS and one has a PSP.

Yes it will sell more than any XBOX or ps3 game.

I'm still on the fence wether I'll pick this up or not (I'm very cash conservative nowadays) but I know one thing for sure - it'll drive hardware sales. All the people who bought NSMB for the DS? They will flock to the console version in great numbers

So this is only one opinion but it´s from someone who´s played the game and they LOVED it. What´s more striking is that these guys usually are pro PS3/360 in my opinion.

By the way for the hardcores that complain that Nintendos games are too easy, they said that the game was kind of hard. On several levels they died and couldn´t make it all the way through, neither playing by themselves nor playing together.

I'll give you 10 reasons it won't:

No but it really comes down to what styles and games one prefer. Me myself have no interest in the 10 you listed and for me NSMBW will indeed crush them all. But like I said it very much comes down to personal preferense. NSMBW will get good grades though from critics, I´m almost certain of that AND saleswise I do think it will crush all those on your top 10 list

EDIT: Gaming does not get more hardcore than Mario in 2d. This is the roots of gaming, think about classics such as Super Mario Bros, SMB 3 and SMW. Can´t get better.

Those games isn't nearly as hardcore as 2-D mario games.

I find it suprising that a guy with nearly 150 posts on these boards can still find the reasoning to make such a statement. It should be clear by now that VGchartz and its community judges games on a very different merit then the gaming press does.

Its next best competitor is Mario Galaxy 2 but yea i think NSMB Wii will be awesome. I loved the DS version and seeing the Wii version with 4-players makes me drool lol
