Forums - Microsoft - BioWare's Greg Zeschuk talks Mass Effect, PS3 and X360 differences

This is going to be a great game. A must buy for me - along with too many other must buys over the next several months.

So according to the developers. The 360 is just as powerful as the ps3. Not only that, but according to ubisoft its not, who am I supposed to believe?

This is the game top game for me this year as well, not even Galaxy, Brawl or Bioshock come close. He makes some very good points, I also don´t see the DVD to be a problem for the 360 or Wii, if huge games like this or Bioshock still fit on one disc, I also think that the 360 and PS3 will stay very close in visual power, the difference between the two will hardly be any bigger than between last gens consoles and they all had great looking games regardless of their power.

He never sayed that the 360 is just as powerfull, he sayd raw power is not what makes games look great and that he expects that by the end of this gen only 1% of people playing these systems will be able to tell the the difference. Every system has its limit, but its not untill when this limit is reached that people start getting creative with ways of pushing if even farther, both systems have plenty of great looking games to look foreward to, power is only for fanboys who do pixel-counting instead of enjoying the games.

I really dont care of this game since it is simply too "beautifull" in term of artistic style :

All the men have a "colgate smile" and even the aliens are pretty.
IT is more about the universe than the gameplay.
I think I prefer cyberpunk to space-opera.

I m still waiting for the review about the gameplay (we already know the game is very good in term of gfx).

Dude its the future... if we can´t get our teeth right by then we don´t even have to try fighting the aliens. Do you think we will trevel at light speed before we get a perfect smile ???

I had this initial hunch that this game was not a RPG.
The more I see of it, the more they talk about it, and the less it looks like a RPG.
Seems more like a shooter with RPG elements actually. They even admit that they take the RPG in a very "broad" sense, well, which basically means it's no RPG.
I suppose people believed it was because it was made by Bioware.
