What I've always wandered is why are Americans so good in goal. I mean if they had the choice of outfield players that they did goalkeepers they would be set.

I only turned it on at the half, but yeah, it seemed like Spain had every good chance there was to be had. Dempsey's goal seemed like our only opportunity.

Yeah if US gets knocked out first round next year, I'm gonna be pissed.

Sadly americans you will get fucked next year at the World Cup if your team doesnt play like tehy did today and let ti get to their heads. They cant fool around next year as its a real test for them. The americans playing in europe really showed today that they were willing to sacrifice everything for their country.

USA could win the World cup next year and peopel in the US would still not liek soccer. sad really soccer will never break into the USa and a major sport.

@Captainpreferences: It's not impossible. Honestly I wasn't into soccer until a year ago. I went to the bar last summer with my friend and he took me to this Irish place in new haven that had the game on and I loved it. I've also noticed that a lot of younger kids and guys my age are starting to get into it. I think a first place finish at the world cup or even this year is certainly a step in the right direction for the sports popularity.

Ah ok lol. As long as you get a bit of luck with the draw you should get out of the group stage fairly easily.
