Forums - General - who is better The Simpsons or Family guy?

The Simpsons before Homer turned from just stupid to an obnoxious jerk were pure gold. Family Guy was good before it was cancelled and after it came back it was kinda on and off. So I've giving this to the Simpsons.

The Simpsons had a few hilarious seasons (the middle ones)...but I still prefer Family Guy. So many quotes from Family Guy are just class. From "I'm gonna hate that rock" to "Home of the Whopper" to "Doing your.....son?" Also....Adam West...that guy is so stupid and so funny (The whole deal when he thinks people are stealing his water)

Between the two, The Simpsons. Hands Down.

You're too young to watch Family Guy!

The Simpsons during it's golden age is the epitome of modern TV (BBC comedy takes the crown for pre-90s), unparalleled in quality, and hard to match in popularity. And even now the show is "decent" compared to most of the shit that networks air.

The first season of Family Guy is the only one that I enjoyed, personally, I prefer American Dad to it.

Simpsons > King of the Hill > Futurama > South Park > American Dad > Family Guy

Hm...

I'd go:

Futurama > Family Guy > Simpsons > King of the Hill > South Park > American Dad

Out of the 2, The Simpsons easily. But South Park is better than both of them combined

Well King of the Hill will probably fall quite quickly - it's hard to get your hands on the show in the UK, and I've only managed to watch it recently (borrowed box sets from a friend), the novelty will likely wear-off soon, though.

I wanna do it too!

I'd go:

South Park > Simpsons > Futurama > Family Guy > American Dad > King of the Hill

I find Family Guy funnier. Moreso than American Dad and South Park too.
