I got to read the latest Level, a Swedish game magazine, today and when I got to the review section I just laughed and cried at the same time...

What in the name of Mario am I reading?

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, a 7/10 but they only reviewed it for PS3/360 and nothing on the Wii version. Is TW10 Wii released later than the HD versions in Europe?

I continue to read...GST 6/10, Prototype 8/10 and...dum dum dum

Tales of Vesperia 5/10....yes 5/10. "Another nail in the JRPG-coffin" (translated from Swedish) it says next to the number. Realtime battles that still has a fresh feel. But the story sucks, all has been done a million times and the only way to tell the characters apart are by their haircolour...

ToV hasn't got 10/10 from every reviewer but I definitely didn't expect it to score this low. The review actually begins with stating that the overall positive reviews Vesperia has got was without truth...oh yeah...

Huh, and then I got to the part I was waiting for...atleast I thought...

The Conduit...a nice 3/10. "Place the Wiimote against your head. Press B". Nice. The reviewer also states that the control works, in his summary (almost nothing on control in the review) but then says that it's so much nicer to just play with a traditional controller. (Some one screamed when M and S announced their motion controls I think).

They seemed to love Boom Blox Smash Party though, giving it a 9/10.

I don't know what to believe anymore...are ToV and will tC be (based on the reviews so far) heavily overrated games? Did someone just have to be different? Different tastes? Sweden sucks?

Sidenote...I just now that Muramasa,Fragile and ARF will get totally spanked when they arrive here...

This was the magazine we were notified of last week that would INTENTIONALLY give The Conduit a bad review.

I wouldn't trust anything you read from this thing. ZenFoldorVGI thinks that TOV is the best RPGthis gen if I recall correctly. And how could the best version of Tiger Woods not get a review? Oh wait........it's the Wii version.


Giving Boom Blox 2 the highest rating of them all is like a slap in the face with a........hand.

How did the magazine notify people it was giving the game a low score? Why did it do that?

Or is this a case of a biased magainze just out to serve its core?

^What, intentionally??? Where did you hear that? I mean, this is supposed to be a respected gaming magazine, many of the people working on it has been writing for gaming mags since the nes/snes days ( maybe that's the problem)... I have a lot of respect for some of these guys...

It is a little funny if the mag has become biased when some of the people who started it has been doing Nintendo ONLY in the past, and those mags had entire sections dedicated to RPG's, mainly JRPG's. Remember your roots!

I don't think anyone with knowledge of games takes Swedish gaming journalism seriously ... I know I don't. In fact, gaming journalism in general is pretty lame nowadays. I'd say, disregard their opinion. Sad thing is, now a lot of readers who probably could've enjoyed either Tales of Vesperia or The Conduit will now likely miss out on them because of this random dude who decided to peg a score on them. Too bad.

Considering that Zen is right, I think its a safe assumption that this mags scores this time around are bullshit.
