Why should you care for Sony? There isn't really any reason why, in the same way there isn't any real reason you should care for Microsoft or Nintendo.

This on the other hand, is a completely different question. By Playstation, I assume you mean the Playstation 3, and there is one very, very simple answer to that question.

Games.

If you don't like the games the PS3 has, then you have no reason to care about the machine. Everything the PS3 can do, should be secondary compared to its games, when considering whether or not you care for what it has to offer, and if you don't like what the PS3 offers, then you have no reason to care.

Sony fans are a cult following ( Well I am anyway). Do you really think the that if MS or Ninty released a 600$ Console they would be at 21 Million + Sold after 2.5 years? Heck the GC launched at 199$ And its lifetime core fanbase has already been surpassed by the PS3 ( During a recession )

Seems as you care the most about Sony. And your statements is nothing new, they surface each and everyday. But im glad you find joy in your xbox, now if you could only not care about it as much as you dont care about Sony, you might feel raged to pay some more attention to it instead of posting hate on forums.

The reason why the xbox 360 outsold the playstation 3 is because the console had a year headstart and the reason why it was released a year earlier was because microsoft wanted to beat sony in sales. We're looking at a company who were too much of cowards to release a system at the same time as the other consoles (because it wouldn't sell as good as the playstation 3 in its lifespan) and yet they chose to release their bricked console to the market with a failure rate at the time of 33%.

If the console was released at the same time as the other consoles (as it should've if microsoft cared enough to actually fix the technical problem to bring the probability of consoles failing down to at least 1%) then it would've been last in the sales rank. Compare the first couple of years of the xbox 360 and the playstation 3 and you will see that the playstation 3 has a better sales performance than the xbox 360's.

Name the most recent exclusives that sony lost besides tekken 6.

Don't just focus on the turn based final fantasy XIII. Consider the other exclusives that are coming out that could (or hopefully) push playstation 3 sales (mag, uncharted 2, god of war 3, gran turismo 5 (?), etc). Last I checked on vgchartz.com, uncharted 2 was the second most anticipated game of all time, followed by god of war 3 being third, final fantasy versus XIII being sixth (which is quite amazing seeing how square enix released no gameplay footage), and the rest being xbox 360 exclusives.

Why are you supposed to care about the playstation 3? Because of the exclusive games. I'm sure there are games that you like that are only available on the playstation 3.

From my personal experience, the 360 failure rate is way above 33%.

As anecdotal proof, I will tell you that out of 13 people I know who have a 360, 12 of them have bricked, with the exception being my brothers 360 thank God............

So whatever that percentage is..... lol 92% failure rate
