Now I'm not going to claim that my PS3 isnt awesome. It has great games and is my media hub at home. But I can agree with the OPs sentiment of not caring for sony. I think they run an extremely arrogant and poor business.

I care about them as much as they care about us... and after scandals like the rootkit fiasco and sony claiming that those who are too poor to afford a PS3 should slave at a 2nd or 3rd job... i can safely bet that they dont care about us too much.

The only thing you have to do is watch Sony struggle in the marketplace. Every month, a new disappointment.

I think it's utter foolishness in this economic climate to reinforce this image, and I'm surprised that they've learned little from their mistakes with the PS3.

As to why we should care about Sony, I don't know. They despise the consumers (see rootkits, ridiculous piracy lawsuits etc) and everything they do is done as well or better by other companies, for a cheaper price.

 

yes it is utter foolishnes to price a console that high, but some some reason its working though selling over 100k a week, so i dunno they must be doing something right i think they're trying to make as much profit as they can before they slash the price

and at the op , like some people have already said, you shouldnt care

the only companies in gaming i really cared about were nintendo, SNK, and NEC

cus those were my homeboys of gaming growing up

as an adult im down with whoever can be the best and most economical at the same time
