I think the prices are too close for Sony.  How does a PSP look valuable compared to a full console for 50 dollars more. 

349 is the new price with 399 Slim.-

Why the hell would the slim be more expensive than the usual one? all you're paying for are new 45nm chips... and less material used to make the console.

in my opinion it makes sense to make a possible slim version initially more expensive (or better drop the price of the "phat") to clear out stock - after that they could lower the slims price

Hmm, I had never thought of a $250 PSP and a $300 PS3 and that is kind of an interesting point. People keep talking about the mythical $299 PS3 but with the $250 PSP I don't know if that's going to happen.

God no. For a PSP, that is WAY too expensive. I was looking in buying my friend's old PSP; I just can't afford that new price. PS3, I've already stated is way to expensive into the generation. Big mistake Sony made. Good thing my 360 was given as an X-mas gift back when it was $449. Being a broke college student is not fun :(

Damn the Go is expensive

As on the surface as this is, it actually seems like a pretty good point to me. Hadn't thought about it. I guess time will tell.
