hold on..they said that in the west we'd be able to play online threw PS3's

yeah, the "official" US playstaion blog said:

"If you use AdHoc Party on the PS3 from the Japanese store you can link your PSP to the PS3 and play it online, voice chat and all".

ironic, isn't it?

I love how bootleg Sony is these days (Though I've only started following their news for the past few months, since I got the PS3 -- I assume they weren't like that back when they were large and in charge?)

Wenlan, I'd love some help finding the ad-hoc program when the time comes.  I know just enough hiragana/katakana to think I'm seeing them when I run into a pile of kanji.

I've decided to give in to my PSP urges.  It seems like the 2000 is the better option, from what I've read.  Apparently the 3000's screen has some problems?  Is there a difference between the 2000 and the 2001?

Anyway, I found a way to get one for really cheap.  Don't read this, MM:  (it involves trading in some old games I'm never going to play.)

If anyone else is in the market for a psp right now, it's actually a pretty good deal... for me, anyway.

alic, i installed ad-hoc party today and found out the program is ALL JAPANESE
it maybe a little bit compliated to setup a "party house" if you don't read Japanese
however, trying to find a "party house" setup by somebody else should be easy
for example, go to "J-50" and find "WoLoCo"
i am sure you can find an English guide over the internet that shows you how to setup a party house

for your future PSP, the best deal i can think of is the current amazon trade-in deal
if you trade in games worth more than $75, you will get a bonus $75 toward a console/handheld purchase
the deal will end soon, if you are interested, submit your trade-in list before the deadline

Hey Wenlan. That's exactly the one I'm doing. PSP will come out to around 35$ after tax :)

Taken from http://pspslimhacks.com/forum/hacking-help/is-this-psp-hackable!-allow-me-to-answer-that!!/?PHPSESSID=df2afb90f6a6661e7ae98df7accb7672

The PSP series full number (2000/2001/2002/etc) just as seen in both pictures (2001 black PSP Slim, & 2000 White PSP Slim) Those have nothing to do with whether the PSP is hackable or not, it's just an indication of the region of the PSP.

& Here's the list:
2000- Japan
2001- United States (American)
2002- Australia/New Zealand
2003- United Kingdom
2004- Europe
2005- Korea
2006- Hong Kong/Singapore
2007- Taiwan
2008- Russia
2009- China
2010- Mexico

to everyone thinking about buying a psp dont get the 3000, its got issues and is so far un-modable. now i know some people dont believe in modding but its really the only way to enjoy the psp. you get access to tons of psp games and you can put nintento, snes, ps1, gameboy, gameboy advance, and old arcade games on to your psp. thier are also less conventional this like cheat systems and other crazy stuff. the old 1000 series are alot sturdier but the video out feature of the 2000 make it the one to buy.

If all my Demon's Souls buddies pick thsi up, I may have to as well lol.

You can have up to four players, right?

So this game features online co-op?
