Forums - Nintendo - Tiger Woods 10 Wii will easily become the best selling in the series.

Watching the US Open, every Tiger Woods commercial I saw was for the Wii version.
It is almost as if no other version existed.

I wonder if we will see any spike in sales -- I know we would have had Tiger managed to not blow up his last four holes in the first round (which means he would be in a playoff right now instead of finishing four shots back).

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I haven't bought a golf video game....ever, I've rented a couple like Mario Golf many many years ago, but never bought a golf game. I like golf ok, I might watch it on a sunday afternoon to help me take a nap, but don't really care that much.

I bought Tiger 10 in it's first week, and I've been watching highlights from the tourneys on Hulu. It is an incredible golf videogame, the definitive golf game.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I think TW '10 will not only sell a lot of copies, I think it'll sell quite a few Wii to golfers. It's that good. It should easily become the #1 selling version of TW.

On a personal level, I have evidence for this.  A priest at my local church, who is a big golf enthusiast, owns a Wii and the game.  I was surprised to find out he bought a Wii to play it, but that just shows the extent of it.  Well, I believe it is TW 10.

Anyhow, anyone here want to argue we should get rid of motion control as an option?  Anyone think a golf enthusiast would end up buying a PS3 or 360 to play golf with a joypad controller?

XD

An an impulse decision I bought it for my dad as a Father's day gift Sunday. They were sold out at both Gamecrazy, and at Gamestop. (At least the version with M+). It looked like they had at least 6 copies at Walmart, and was able to pick it up from there. Which is good, as I probably would of gave up after that...

Played one round with my dad. I'm not really into golf or golf video games, but it seemed pretty good. I might consider it for myself...

PS: The selection at Walmart is suprisingly great the last year, especially the last 6 months. They have nearly every wii game in existence. I generally get items on sale or used, but for those few times when I am willing to pay full price for a hard to find new game, I have had much better luck there than either Gamecrazy or Gamestop.

This isn't the first time I tried to get something at Gamecrazy and Gamestop first, but was able to find it at Walmart. If it wasn't for the better prices with used games (when available) from Gamecrazy, I would be tempted to try there first instead of third.

not that suprising... from what i here, its getting better reviews than the hd ones(as long as it has WM+ though).

I would never have even considered a golf game before, but the critical praise made me pick this one up.

Take that as you will.

Same here.  A friend brought his copy over along with WM+ this past weekend and I really enjoyed it.  I think I'll have to pick it up as well.
