Forums - Nintendo - About the id game for Wii....

I remember Carmack saying soon after they confirmed some sort of Wii development that it was tied to their iPhone game. Now we see their iPhone game: Doom Resurrection. I was wondering if Resurrection is supposed to be an on-rails shooter (i can't really tell from the trailers out there), but it sort of looks that way.

It would be kinda funny if the first game id made for a Nintendo home console in a long, long time was yet another rail shooter, though.

Thoughts? Corrections?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Around the Network

Wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Even though Quake is blindingly fast on Wii homebrew, they'd throw a Doom on-rails shooter on the Wii that doesn't look much better and call it support.....

Carmack never struck me as a creative person for a "weaker" non PC platform. He likes to squeeze what he can out of PC architect. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a rail shooter too.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
