GameStop, Amazon, and Best Buy all have the game listed for a December 18th, 2007 release. The game was originally supposed to see an October release, before an "overhaul" saw the game pushed back to November 13th, 2007. While dates on retail websites are hardly an end all, be all confirmation, a date change like this from several completely different retailers is about as good as an official confirmation from SEGA.

So be sure to mark your calenders, people. Or just pre-order the game from one the links I so graciously provided.

As a side note for our UK readers, Amazon.co.uk has NiGHTS listed for a December 21st, 2007 release, so you might not have to wait quite as long as the rest of Europe, which is scheduled to get the game in early 2008.

NiGHTS was looking pretty good at TGS, so it's good to hear the game's being held back for an extra bit of polish.

@ the content of the post: on the one hand, delays suck, but on the other hand, it's not like I was gonna give up Galaxy time to play it, so whatever. Hopefully they'll use the extra time well.

I wonder how this will look..


I thought this had already been confirmed a while back, but I guess it's even confirmeder now. =P

Normally I'd be upset about a game that I'm looking forward to being delayed, but a December launch would mean competing against one of the strongest holiday lineups in the history of gaming. Definitely more people buying it in early 08, and I'm it could use the extra polish to boot.

Australia has a release date of mid-December set for a while... which is good in my opinion. We get both Metroid & Galaxy in November, plus the no-doubt-flood of other titles...

The more this game gets delayed the better. I was actually hoping it would be pushed back to around Feb 08. It would give them more time to work on it and give us a big game in a normally slow time of the year.

the game didnt look that bad ---the controls seemed to work to(from what i have read)--so hopefully this will put it just a litle higher on the quality pole

 I agree completely Stof. It will get more sales during the slow period in Feb 08. Not only that, it will give Sega time to polish the game. I know I am not the only one that will be completely done with Sega if they botch NiGHTS. Its kind of like Lost Odyssey, I was initially disappointed that it was pushed back to Feb 08, but I am glad now. I have to beat Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, MP3, Bioshock, etc. etc.
