Good job Mike B. This is serious ammo to shut down FUD for years to come.
This is hilarious, keep going MikeB and none of us will ever need to correct your FUD again, we'll just link this thread.
@Staude - No you're incorrect but feel free to keep arguing with someone elses opinion on a subjective subject.

Exactly!
Eurogamer have proved themselfs many many times over the years that they are indeed fair, they give credit where credit is due but it turns out the PS3 just doesn't get much for pretty easy to see reasons.....
i for one cannot believe some of the comments posted in here, it is a fact that the ps3 was lead platform for gb and also this lame excuse of it being turn over to the 360 as lead later on in the developement cycle wtf?
some people can really clutch at straws. if it was the 360 version that sucked all would have been well for these same ridiculous fanboys, hint get a brain, get a life, get bloody real,
ps3 is at fault here no matter how you spin it mikeb you should know better peace. i hate threads like these, pure ignorance in my opinion.

How is it the ps3 fault? most of MP game look the same sometime a bit better on ps3 or 360....are you saying that the other devs such as capcom, rockstar, infinityward etc etc just got lucky that the ps3 version turned out fine?
| slowmo said: Bit early in the year for damage control MikeB, Ghostbusters finally hit home that leading on the PS3 will not fix it's terrible dev support requiring too many man hours to get equivalent or better results. On the subject of games that have actually been released that rival the 360 seriously in most 360 fans opinions is MGS4, Unchartered and Killzone 2. Thats just 3 games that stand out and each one had plenty of time and money thrown at them that no third party will do. Your argument may have more merit if the 360 is unable to reproduce Final Fantasy XIII at equivalent levels, the only exception I reckon is video will not be encoded to 1080p which for the vast majority of users is not an issue anyway. Finally those 3 titles I mentioned above are not "well beyond" titles availble on the 360 either. Finally I'm pretty sure PAL DVD's are encoded to 576p aren't they, so for a lot of users they don't watch 480p at all, or did you skip that fact because as usual it made your argument less relevant. When you compare 576p to 720p the difference isn't so great, at least thats what the PS3 fans have told us regarding Ghostbusters resolution drop (funny how its not only 360 owners being inconsistant now is it). Lastly how does such a blatantly troll thread remain open on this site from what is a reknowned Sony fan with a vested interest in misinformation, no offence MikeB it's just my opinion on your conduct. |
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Little Big Planet, Folklore, and Heavenly Sword also all blow away any similar games on the 360 and The Last Guardian will as well.
@ Lord Flashheart
Just to comment on the BluRay aspect of this argument, some BR movies just are not well done visually, and/or they don't have the special effects budgets to really jump out of the screen in a direct comparison between the two formats. Sure when you are watching Transformers or Ratatouille on BluRay, there is an immediate and noticeable difference. Then watch Gran Torino on both formats and you'll notice the differences between the two get smaller and less noticeable. That's the thing about movies in general. Not all of them are meant to be visually stunning, and you won't get a huge added benefit with BluRay on those smaller indy releases or dramatic films. An upscaled DVD does do wonders for mimicing the BR experience on those types of movies.
I can't speak about the audio difference since I get my audio through my TV speakers. It all sounds the same to me.
