Forums - Sony - All it takes is 1 LITTLE change to WIN

Short term maybe and that's if MS doesn't counter with a pricecut as well.

In the long term they need a casual killerapp. I'm not sure the wand is one since it doesn't differ much from the wii.

Who the hell really plays more than a few ps2 games anymore really? You bought a next gen system play next gen games. Mabey thats why tie ratios were so low in the first year and a half people were still buying last gen games if sony is going to be succesful they us gamers to buy the new games like killzone so they make a profit like microsoft does with halo and gears.

people who have many ps2 games would appreciate BC in ps3. i have a lot of ps2 titles and i would buy 300$ ps3 if one would have BC. ps2 have many great gems that you won't find on ps3(if it would be a sequel or a similar game) so it would be nice to have ability to play your own games on the system that was always presented as console able to play games from its predecessors. it adds value so beloved by sony.

My little brother still plays PS2 games and I still purchase them for him.

And I think the monthly sales charts reflect that there is still a market for the PS2. Otherwise, why would Sony drop the PS2 price to $99?

If Sony is going to be successful, it needs to adopt a sustainable business model and competitive pricing strategy when engaging new projects.

I am still waiting to see the cell being implemented in mainstream computers and/or traditional home electronic devices?

And personally, I am in no rush to adopt blu-ray.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

So why not just keep the ps2 you i dont see a reason to trade it in and get like $30 or $40.

Yeah im not really sure why the cell has not cought on more i think that would be a pretty sick computer with it in it.

My little brother has my PS2. I don't have one at my home.

He wants to play them when he comes to visit me.

Did you really believe that this would happen?

Which is why I cannot understand why Sony invested so much in the cell technology for the PS3.

It just seems overly expensive and not very practical in my opinion. You do not see the cell processor in other home electronic devices...and I think there is a logical reason why.

Well toshiba is starting to use in thier tv's

And just 1 little bankruptcy.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

You really think they are that close to bankruptcy.
