Forums - Sales - WW figures to 13th June - YOY YTD and marketshare update.

The last 4 weeks running average:

Console Wii PS3 X360
Total
891,486
401,687
450,705

Same time last year

Console Wii PS3 X360
Total
1,642,096
588,020
527,823

Wii: -45.71%

Xbox 360: -14.61%

PS3: -31.68

Judging from that it looks like the Wii will shortly take ownership of the title of 'console with greatest drop year over year'. The PS3 will be moving into the 20-25% drop YOY territory and the Xbox 360 will be probably eventually lose all of its year over year gains.

Im just reposting this here because its the latest thread.

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

@squill

it would take a while for 360 to lose that ytd yoy increase...

The difference between the current average YOY gains and the present YOY losses is ~35%, it has the biggest difference between average and present YOY so therefore the numbers for the Xbox 360 will move quickest. The PS3 is the closest and the Wii has the biggest numerical disadvantage to last year.
