I would bet on a new game-type. Something genre-bending, which is right up Nintendo's alley, but genre-bending in a direction that they normally wouldn't go. That way they could make something totally different that could be used for multiple games.

Sakurai is working on Project Sora (Its also the name of HIS new company). Before that he said he was working on something new with Sora Ltd. Project Sora was this new "something" so he is definitely working on one big new thing and I still think its a new thing.
