Yes...We've established that around the time that most of us realized it's likely to just be a rumor because it was somebody's twitter.

I didn't bother with reading the entire thread, just the OP

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Well, I think it would be a good move for Sony to get a solid RPG developer, putting the sketchiness of this rumor aside for a moment.

It would be one of the best ways for Sony to differentiate the PS3 from the increasingly similar (but much lower priced) 360 -- by getting a highly polished exclusive RPG, along with all the little Japanese developers who have been announcing stuff for the PS3 lately (Atelier Rorona, The Last Rebellion, Trinity: something about Zil'ol, that other mashup RPG with Trinity in the title by a totally different company...) they could finally get their reputation back of the being the console for people who prefer Japanese-style games. I think it's more than a little shameful that Sony have been out-japan-ed by Microsoft for most of this generation so far. I hope they try to do something about it.

No they aren't. The Prof Layton trilogy is over.....

@outlawauron

I think this is the second time I see you saying Prof. Layton series is over and got corrected :)

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

A prequel triolgy? That's stupid. I don't want Level 5 to milk it.

Nobody thinks about Gust or NIS, I mean recently they're giving a lot to ps3 owners : Atelier Rorona, Trinity Universe, Last Rebellion, and another "ps3 project" for Gust.

Hope its the new RPG comapny from england/japan.

Actually looking at each of these two blogs, it seems GamesKnow is basing their info on GamesBlow, so it really comes back to GamesBlow, who0 we all know is hardly reliable.

But enterrtaining teh notion tht they might be right just for a sec, the GamesBlow Twitter was updated with this:

I would like to clear up something, tho... I said "bought" and that was wrong of me... It is an exclusive agreement between the 2. A big one

So yeah, it seems as if they've just worked out an exclusivity deal with some third party for multiple titles, which would effectively make them second party.

^ Woot! Persona 5. There's also rumor that they have an arrangement with Atlus.
I hope it's Persona 5. I will be a happy panda.
