Provided I could afford all the consoles I wanted, I would still buy my PS3 and PSP, but also a 360 and DS.

I think if before the gen started everyone knew that 1 in 3 360's overheated and was dubed the RRoD and in a year and half worth of time MS will start taking care of the problem and in 2 years time the problem would be uncommon then many early adapters would probablly be turned off. And in that case would Ps3 sell faster? Would MS be able to "steal" the Ps3 exclusives? One thing changes everything! |
599 US dollars says it wouild not sell faster.

yes, knowing that the ps3 lasted more than 1 year after announcing the price, i dont buy MS products they have very low quality, and the wii stills doesnt have enough games that i want

Hey Listen!
I'd have stuck by my PS3...I don't play any of those lazily ported 3rd party games so that 'issue' is of no concern.
I also find the user base on PSN to be more tolerable (for the most part...) and there is no Warhawk or Socom on Xbox, and I'd miss those titles.
And one day..whenever that day is...Gran Turismo is coming out, and that will be a fine fine day.

PSN: TheGodofWine (Warhawk / R2 / MotorStorm PR)
AND
PSN: Skigazzi (for KZ2 and future games)

So no one at all who bought a 360 before the Ps3 launched would wait for the Ps3? And no one who bought the 360 while Ps3 was on the market wouldn't opt to spend more money to avoid the RRoD? Are you from this parallel universe we are speaking about?

Not enough. People wanted the 360 when it released. And when the 360 was on the market at the same time as the ps3 the warrenty was covering RROD. The fact is, no one really wanted to buy the ps3. Maybe if ps3 started at 400 we would see something different but even with rrod not many would buy the ps3.

My only regret? Spending $100 on this, before I knew about these.
Otherwise I have been completely happy with my 360. My Wii is only played occassionally, but for the price, I do not regret the purchase. Having owned all consoles of the previous 3 generations, I know I will buy a PS3 eventually as well. So basically no, knowing everything now wouldn't affect the order in which I have purchased my systems.

This
Plus a psp and DSlite owner here!^^
I have all 3 and am glad to have all 3.
I'm glad I have a Wii so I can rock out to EA Active. Sometimes when I don't want to go to the gym I can just fire up the Wii and burn some ass in the comfort of my own home plus it's more fun. Not to mention the Gems on the Wii of course.
I'm happy to have a 360 even if I don't use XBL. It's a good HD system for my second HD TV. Plus I can get all the PC/360 exclusives like Mass Effect without dealing with the headaches of PC gaming.
I love the PS3 because PSN is great and free. Sony's exclusives seem to get better every year. And bluray, sweet sweet bluray. I highly recommend Planet Earth on sweet sweet bluray.
I've never seen a generation of consoles which all have so many great and unique experiences to offer. If you really can't see the value in any of these systems I'd consider you more of a fanboy then a gamer.
