BTW, killing with guns is a lot easier than killing with any other method(short of a bomb). The thing is, the desire to kill, to be violent, is part of human nature, thousands of years of history prove that, and when the need to kill comes, if you have a gun at hand is a lot easier than doing it with a knife or poison or anything else.
If you take a closer look to criminal data, you'll see that organized crime is responsible for only a small part of murders, the rest being a result to daily conflicts that one of the parts thought better to solve it with violence. Usually with guns. Why? Is easier, simple like that.
And the worst part is that guns may avoid your house being robbed, but it makes it easier to being shot by your neighbour or to shoot him in case of a discussion, or your wife, or your kids, like in this case. The fact is, without the free use of guns, there wouldn't be the shootings in public places that made the USA so famous and even copied. Is very difficult to kill several people with a knife... Only that makes it worth a shot. And there are countries at the same level of developement of the US that have gun control and don't share the sad homicidal numbers, so it can be done.

People who think guns in the house= a-ok should really look at the difference in gun murders in the US vs. the rest of the industrialised countries in the world.

More people are killed with guns in the US then the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Japan combined times 10. Obviously the kid was a nut and needed to be put away. However the numbers speak for themselves. We have a gun problem in the United States. Period.

... doesn't Canada have a higher gun per capita rate than USA?
What about Switzerland - last I heard their law required them to be armed or some such.

Who cares! The guy is a fuck up. This story or these people have no affect on my life. One less person in a sea of 6 billion is fuck all.

He really should have gotten life. And the fact he was 15 is no excuse. He is just pure evil and should never be allowed to roam the streets free. Any 15 year old knows that it is wrong to kill, let alone kill your own mother.

It should have been life, people like this shouldnt be allowed to ever walk on the streets again. He valued a video game more than his own parents lives.

And stop arguing about gun control in the USA. Its like someone already said, he had the intent to kill his parents because of what they did. What would have stopped him from grabbing a knife, baseball bat, crowbar or anything else.
