BTW, killing with guns is a lot easier than killing with any other method(short of a bomb). The thing is, the desire to kill, to be violent, is part of human nature, thousands of years of history prove that, and when the need to kill comes, if you have a gun at hand is a lot easier than doing it with a knife or poison or anything else.
If you take a closer look to criminal data, you'll see that organized crime is responsible for only a small part of murders, the rest being a result to daily conflicts that one of the parts thought better to solve it with violence. Usually with guns. Why? Is easier, simple like that.
And the worst part is that guns may avoid your house being robbed, but it makes it easier to being shot by your neighbour or to shoot him in case of a discussion, or your wife, or your kids, like in this case. The fact is, without the free use of guns, there wouldn't be the shootings in public places that made the USA so famous and even copied. Is very difficult to kill several people with a knife... Only that makes it worth a shot. And there are countries at the same level of developement of the US that have gun control and don't share the sad homicidal numbers, so it can be done.
