So then, to use the Wii as an example, you would rather have Umbrella Chronicles than Resident Evil 5, Extraction than Dead Space, Rayman Raving Rabbids than Rayman 3, etc. It's a spinoff that's not even in the same genre. Would you be excited about Dragon Quest Swords multiplat to 360 but Dragon Quest X still Wii exclusive? Of course not. FFXIII was a big deal. This is not. |
Well put,
as for your comment "...that's not even a stealth game", that is my one disappointment about the game. I will be playing this game regardless, but I will be somewhat choked if the game is just a NG2 Clone. Plus, with God of War and Devil May Cry as well, I really don't need another action brawler.
I was hoping for a game with Cyborg Raiden as the main character, but I was also hoping that it would remain a mix of stealth/action. Maybe something akin to Tenchu in its glory days...but better. Although, maybe Konami will keep some stealthy elements in the game and not just the "Lightning Bolt Action" stuff...time will tell of course.
As for biggest loss, my vote still goes to GTA4 being a simultaneous release, Sony could have really used the boost in North America. At least with FFXIII they keep Japan and the potential that some people will opt to buy a PS3 since they will want to play Versus as well. (assuming the latter doesn't go multi)
But FFXIII was still a biger deal as you said when compared to this.
