Top 3s:
Disney: The Jungle Book, Pinocchio, The Rescuers
Ghibli: Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Pixar: Monsters Inc., Toy Story, Wall-E
Others: Shrek, The Iron Giant, Les Triplettes de Belleville

Not among the very best but I still love them:
The Black Cauldron, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Robin Hood (Disney)
Porco Rosso, Howl's Moviing Castle, My Neighbor Totoro (Ghibli)
The Dark Crystal (Henson/Oz)
Akira (Otomo)

All-time favourite: The Jungle Book

Excellent choices. I loved all of those.

I had forgotten about Les Triplettes de Belleville. I havent seen it in over 4 years and the Belleville Rendezvous song manages to sneak its way into my head.

Easily my favourite song from an animated movie.

Grave f the fireflies is awesome, I also like spirited away, the lion king and the rurouni kenshin ovas, I like a lot more but it would be a big list.

I really liked the Trust and Betrayal OVA, but refused to watch the Reflection one.

List em all! Ive already got myself interested in one that was mentioned earlier that I hadnt heard of before. Wings of Honneamaise seems pretty interesting.

Lol reflection is maybe my favorite, some say it differs to much from the manga, but I was never a manga guy, I watched the anime on tv and liked it a lot then I got into it. Its sad though, Im not a sensitive guy, I usually dont cry when people die and things like that, but this one made me feel like a girl xD, and the OST is one of the best.

1) Aladdin
2) The Lion King

As always, okr has amazing taste.

One you missed. Watership Down.

My personal favorite is Lion King. I'm sorry, it's not the best. It's just something I love.

Although two wildly different choices in Fireflies and Nightmare Before Christmas really deserve some love here.

The following are all equally good IMHO - as in near enough perfect (in different ways):

The Incredibles
Grave of the Fireflies
Spirited Away
My Neighbour Totoro
Jungle Book
The Iron Giant
Jungle Book

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I'm amazed that I had looked over Nightmare Before Christmas. That'd go up there right along with my other top 3.

On another note, although Burton has much of a lesser influence on this movie than he did with Nightmare Before Chrismas, I'm really excited for '9'.
