Kanto is confirmed to be in there from the official Japanese Pokemon website.

Wait? So in Gold/Silver there were TWO regions? Johto AND the original Kanto?

And you could travel between them? So...when I am playing these remakes, I will also be playing the region from the original Yello/Red/Blue games? :P

In the original Gold and Silver, Kanto was heavily watered-down from Red/Blue/Yellow but I guess we'll have to wait and see if this remake fleshs it out or not.

Deprived of one of the best games ever imo, at least you'll get the remake.

BTW does anyone think it woulld be extremely badass if the map was made like this in the game? As in it was drawn and you select where to fly.

That mist looks to be replacing the old Battle Tower, just as was already said

Not just that, but the mist is covering up other areas on that map. GameFreak did the same thing when unveiling Sinnoh. There was mist on 1/4 of the whole map.

It is the same size as the original, save for now you can actual go on the island to the SW
