I'm bored and I don't have that much to play on my PS3 and GTA IV being $40 sounds good.

I have a little bit of history with GTA though I think VC and SA are one of the best games I've played, so naturally when I first bought my PS3 along with GTA IV I was really disappointed. I actually thought that the game was bad and sold it after a month

Now we all know that GTA IV is not the PS2's GTAs not even close but after I thought about GTA IV is a good game but all the Hype and the high expectations really destroyed any chance this game has of raising the bar over the previous games. It's probably the biggest disappointment for me this gen, but I've been thinking maybe I should give it one more chance because I never got that far in the story I only completed 3 or 4 mission then got bored with all the phone calls from the cousin,then tried the online wasn't anything special

BTW I really never realized how good of a sandbox game GTA IV was until I tried the ones that suck (talking about ASS Creed and Far Cry 2 here)

so what do you think ??

Personally, I think there are better games that could relieve your boredom

Have you tried Prototype? It looks like you kind of like GTA and you have inFamous so you'd probably like Prototype too.

If you're looking for cheaper sandbox games, Saint's Row 2 blows GTAIV out of the water.

I'd search for something else... but hey... it's your money.

Buy InFamous or Prototype, don't buy GTA again.

You should really get yourself into a great online shooter (COD4, KZ2).
They are great for bored times :)

If you missed the classic GTAs what about Saint's Row 2... that game is pretty much what the PS2 GTAs were like.

GTAIV absolutely destroys every other sandbox game there is on current generation consoles. So yeh you should re-buy it.

GTA4 is horrible, don't buy it!  I did the exact same thing.  Bought it expecting a good game, sold it after a month cuz it sucked.  And it's still gonna suck if you buy it again.  I wouldn't do it, there are other way better sandbox games out there including inFamous and Prototype.  It doesn't matter that you'll save $20.  You should be happier to spend $20 extra for something you'll probably like than spending any money on something you already know you don't like.

I already have infamous finished twice, collected every thing and got my Platinum trophy so it's safe to say that I'm pretty much over it and not going to play it soon (if ever). Now Prototype looks the same but with diffrent flavour from what I see in videos. There is a lot of orb collecting or what ever are those are and climbing buildings jumping from one to another. I really don't want another modern superhero sandbox game with a comic book like story, not now anyway

SR2 is also $40. thanks for bringing it up never thought of it. I'll watch some videos and see how good the game is
