Forums - Gaming - Kojima will be 'deeply' involved with Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Maybe they'll use MGS2 as a gateway for Raidens upcoming role to make it seem more like the mainline story. I don't know, but like I've been saying throughout the thread (Which people like to ignore) is I feel like they need more than walking nuclear tanks in common to be considered main story.

In either case, I'm sure there will be. The likeliest scenario is to tell what happened to Raiden inbetween MGS2 and MGS4, which would involve far more than just walking tanks. Even if it stretches the story out further past MGS4, which I don't personally recommend, I'm fairly sure they will add other known supporting characters to intertwine it into the current storyline. I just don't see them packaging this game as a standalone title that requires little beforehand knowledge of the story to get into.

Really though, I just want my fucking Codec conversations back. MGS4 felt emotionally empty (outside of a few key scenes) without them.

I'm going to join the Army and I want to skip the Private Rank... I think that sounds completly reasonable.

I am sorry, but your comparison makes zero sense. Please explain to me how a rank in the army is a proper reflection of an individual's skill and talent?

If a genius enlists in the army at the private rank, does that in anyway make that person any less of a genius? If a chemical engineer enlists in the army at the private rank, does that discredit that person's skill?

So, I guess when CEOs start off fresh at a new company that CEO is ranked as a C-rank CEO because that individual's performance has not been measured at the new company?

Please, just stop. You have zero basis to make an assessment of the team's performance. Period.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

I just watched some MGS2 codecs... I just got confused about the story again...

Shit rolls down hill jcp234.

no I dont do drugs

Alright I'm done with this thread because you clearly are ignoring my arguments and restating the same things over and over again.

Just one final point about the quality of the dev team. jcp234 is completely right, you have now way of gauging the quality of the team so stop spouting nonsense. The example you gave has to do with prestige, of course bigger development teams with a long history are going to be held in high regard, but that says nothing about the relative skill between the two dev teams.

A private could very well be a more skilled soldier and combatant than a general. That is the argument jcp234 is making. Just because you know nothing of the team does not mean they are not a skilled dev group. They could be the best programmers in the world for all you know.

And with that I'm done. Although I don't know why I even bother since your clearly going to ignore my argument and continue to repeat what you have been saying for the past 30 posts with no regard for facts or common sense.

LMAO

OMG, where are you from? I didn't think you would interpret it in that context?

I intended for it to be, but did not think you would pick up on it.

You actually verbalized/communicated it much better.

Thank you.
