to me FF4 is the best, followed by FF6, followed by FF10, followed by FF7

FF10 has loads of music pieces that stand out to me, "To Zanarkhand" (that one doesn't stand out, your kidding me), "suteki da ne", "the highway theme", "ending theme", none of them beat aeris's theme......but overall they beat out FF7's music

Each part of FF10 for me had great music which complements the situation, I can't say the same about FF7.

Overall experience wise, FF10 nailed it compared to FF7........if tidus wasn't annoying, it would've helped though

we are getting a bit off track here, there is something called an opinion and everyone has one, there are some people (especially on this site) who dislike FF7 or prefer another FF game (usually VI, IX, or X)

I havent bought the PSN version but I do remember this.... You have to level everybody up or else you'll have a hard time towards the end when you have to control 2 seperate parties.

I think both games have song that doesn't quite fit with the overall mood of the game. In FF7, after you leave Junon for the first time, and after getting treated to the Rufus Welcoming March, you go to Costa Del Sol and then to Mount Corel...and one of the most anti-climatic songs i've ever heard, makes me just want to skip that part. Same thing happens to me with FFX, some songs just seem off to me, like when you are exploring Kilika Island jungle, or a bit more on the generic side with the Calm lands.

But just like Spartan said, it's just my opinion. I really enjoyed FFX, i was really looking forward to it at that time, and completely blew me away at the time, it's just that FF7 feels like the better game to me ;).

You're partially correct. While you don't have to necessarily level up all of your characters, due to the fact that they gain 3/4 of the normal EXP that your party gains, it will help you against the first form of the Last Boss.
It can be worked around though, if you don't have a strong backup party, mainly by loading your main party with completely master Enemy Skill Materia and a Quadra Magic - Ultima combo on your main magic user, that will take care of it and put you through to the most epic battle of the game (if you're not into the optional bosses ;) ).

you have an interesting team Newcloud, what's your materia setup? Aeris with most of the magic materia, tifa and cloud loaded with command materia, or did you just give them equal materia? While you're are it, don't forget the choco/mog summon in the chocobo farm.
