Hmm, wasn't Japan the only place where there were more gamecubes sold then ps2?

Your right, however....
In your post, it was worded as to make out that there was a 37:1 difference between the PS2 and the PS3 and how they were and are doing in Japan. I know it didn't literally mean that, but that's how it came across....at least to me.
Now you factually say that there is 3:1 difference, and that's vastly different from 37:1 lol.

So, wait. Because Sony is dominating Microsoft in Japan less than last generation, that means they're not dominating them still? You guys are in a losing argument. |
Yes not dominating as much. Do you understand these ratios????
Let me help you understand.
GM used to dominate Car marketshare in the US. Now its still first but not like before. Understand?? Other competitors have caught up due to GM's ignorance.
THis is the same in consoles. MS is catching up in Japan due to SONYs ignorance and poor management with the PS3

Yeah, it's not dominating at all, it only has more than 3 times the install base |
Compared to 40:1 for PS2 vs Xbox????

Yes, but that has alot more to do with the 360 outperforming the Xbox rather than the PS3 doing poorly.

Well it seems many posters in this thread still think SONY is still dominating MS like they used too in Japan.

No-one has argued that in this thread! People have just stated the FACT that Sony is still dominating MS in Japan...that's all.
Read before you post

Look at this link:
It shows at this point in time PS2 had more than 10Million in sales. This ratio is not only due to the 360 doing much better but the PS3 doing much worse. The PS3 is absolutely horrible compared to the PS2 and there no way to spin this
