Was Khuutra's comment really Ban-worthy? I don't think his comment could be considered flamming. I mean I see countles people who do worse and get away with it. Is it because he called your logic silly that he was banned?
ON Topic: Yes it does for me because it seems to be taking the best elements from the two best JRPGs on the planet FFX and FFVII

Yeah, but it's not the only thing. You may think Cloud is annoying, but not every one does. He definitely could have been a better character, but other characters in the cast made up for that. And the start of any great JRPG is great gameplay. In fact, it's the same for any game. And while Lightning might not be that great of a character (at least going by what you say), the rest of the cast could be excellent.

Besides, do we even know enough of the story/game to know if Lightning is going to be like Cloud? I've watched most of the FF13 videos, and they don't really seem to reveal much at all.
I really wish this, it's getting annoying fanboys saying "it may be nice, but we want a FFVII remake", or "maybe even good, but isn't as good as FFVII, OHH, it realeses just next year, but whatever, any game will never be as good as FFVII". I want FFXIII or FFversusXIII to be the game to make the shut up. I HATE THOSE IGNORANT FANBOYS FROM HELL!!!!!!

That was a really REALLY harsh ban, wtf is going on these days.
ON Topic: I think it has some high chances I mean it wont make it the best but many people will definitely think of it as it. Not everyone likes the same FF.

One final thought on this matter
FF13 is gonna seem to reviewers & us PS3 owners like the JRPG from heaven
Xbox 360 owners have had decent JRPG's to play, we havn't
FF13 being the first fabulous one alone may result in it seeming "better" than what it will be for many many people
