Bleh, I hated this game. Infact I hate most of the games you guys mention.


Games like Oblivion, Mass Effect, and Shenmue 2 top my list.

I respect your opinion, but due to gameplay design errors this doesn't rate in my top 10. Best adventure game to me so far has been "Hero Quest 2: Trial by Fire". Played through that game over 15 times and always trying different ways to solve them.

What SotC does right is the bosses. No other game handles boss fights better. The game should be about fighting bosses not traveling some boring Hub world that served little purpose than a desolate atmosphere.

I would agree about Quest for Glory 2 trial by fire... or the Quest for Glory series. Full Throttle was also fantastic.

Oblivion was awful for exploration, it had the most sterile and empty openworld I've ever played in a game.

You must not play a lot of games.

By the contrary, I'm just accustomed to a higher standard of games.
