I am a fan I have Romg, barbarian invasion, MTW2, MTW and shogun.
I'm thinking about rebuying rome total war on steam so I can get the Alexander expansion pack.

This is a game that is similar to the total war series. it's based around the napoleanic era, like Empire: total war, but it's older so it should run on your comp if you have RTW.

Then there is the europa universalis series. No combat, mostly just diplomacy and empire managing.

The game is 50% off this weekend on Steam, don't know if for europeans it's worth it, but for me (and probably rest of the world) it's $25 dollars.

I'm tempted but I don't know if I'll play it, so I think I'll pass

It's £14.99 in the UK this weekend, I presume mainland Europe have a similar price reduction. Well worth it as the cheapest price I can find elsewhere is £23.99 on Amazon.
