it also may be that a user uploaded achievements yesterday, so he kept loading the page.
the same thing happened to banjo after the achievements were uploaded.

infamous was just released, so a lot of people are probably hitting the game page to see its opening week sales. Also, the fact that VGChartz tracked the game significantly lower than NPD will also bump up the number of hits on the game page as controversy will start in the comments section, I'll probably ban some people over it, and more controversy will start up and the cycle will continue.
@aj_habfan
search for the game in the DB, it will show hits there. It doesn't show hits on the game page though.

go to "games" then go to "xbox 360" then itll give a list of games in order from most hits to least, you can see how many hits by looking right of the game...

this is true too. Talonman and I successuflly bumped Burnout Paradise for the PS3 to the top of the popular games list while we were working on game database improvements for 2.0.

Okay thanks.
It says Infamous has 10,000 legit hits, nothing seems out of line with it being #1.

I can tell you it's definitely more than one or two people hitting it - at least as far as the game DB pages are concerned. Are there people out there going to extra lengths to try and beat the system? I'm sure there are and you should feel sorry for them as they are typically the mouth-breather type with nothing better to do with their sad lives... :(
