Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft Responds To ( Increased Price ) For Halo 3: ODST

i couldn't care either way but i do want to add that a few weeks ago i totally called this. i also predicted a $70-80 "special" edition. it's just a matter of time my friends. xD

Are there only 3 maps or are there 3 new maps + the originals?

@vetterman

i believe it has all the maps. or just the mythic map pack(but i am pretty sure it has them all)

ODST is supposed to have all the previous multiplayer maps, and three new ones. If you've got a 20GB HDD, you can save a lot of space with ODST by deleting the maps from the HDD.
Halo is the only FPS I play online, so I'll still get my moneys worth.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

I done with Halo, i cant bear the multiplayer.

Why? do you gett raped in mp?

I think the campaign looks like it could be 12 hours or so plus you get the firefight mode, which will offer so much more replayability, and all mp maps.  So i would say the price is definatly justifiable!

Well thats not too bad then, it probably should still be a little cheaper. Will the new maps be available separately? If they are I could see alot of people only buying the map pack instead of ODST.

I don't know exactly how I feel about this game..

From what I've heard, the campaign is really short compared to the other Halo games... but I hope that isn't true. Is it confirmed whether or not there is co-op in the campaign?

4 playe co-op

Halo 3:ODST will not be worth buying for $60 just for a 5 or 6 hour campaign ala Halo 3 and only 3 new maps that can be downloaded anyway.

@ps3luver(or whatever your name is)

it sounds like (by reading more articles) that they have extended the campaign at for a couple more hours
