I was planning on buying a PS3 this summer and with yet another rumor of a price drop I was wondering if I should wait and hope for a price cut or take the chance getiing one early and regret it.

Just wondering what other people thought.

I think you should get one, the price drops are rumors.

If you don't buy it now, you might never buy it. I don't know if that's a plus or a minus for you. But when you have a lotta cash to burn you should burn it before you end up spending it on stupid stuff ilke pork buns and heroin.

I dont see a problem, price cuts are rumors, there is no point waiting for a price cut that may not even be truth for the moment.

If you got the cash, id do it now. Because according to my magic 8-ball, his sources says No to a price drop in the near future.

Weigh up how much you would value getting one now over the potential savings of buying one near say black friday after a price cut and deals. If you value owning a PS3 and playing it now over any savings buy it today. If you value the savings, buy it later.

What consoles do your friends own? If you intend to play multiplayer with them it should factor into things quite considerably. If they do own consoles now then you could start playing games with them now as well.

hmmm rumors are rumors yes but . . . if it was me I would wait just a bit longer. You would be seriously pissed off if they did release a PS3 slim at $100 less in the holiday season. Also if you wait til the holiday season you might get a better bundle deal. That's my two cents anyway.

If you get a Sony credit card from the sony store you get a 100$ off of a 400$ purchase.

I think everyone is assuming Sony will have a price drop in the Fall..
