I guess there won't be a sequel...

Bionic Commando Rearmed, a high-profile Xbox Live Arcade remake of the original, sold more than 130,000 units across PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in its first week of release. By contrast, the full retail version of Bionic Commando (a sequel to the XBLA title) sold more than 100,000 units less than Rearmed in two weeks of release last month.

this is because the general consumer are idiots. I tried selling a copy to almost every PS3 or 360 customer at Walmart. All just said "that looks stupid" and normally just got Gears 2 or some other shooter... it really annoys the hell out of me that the consumer wont try something different.

Remember the law of working at retail? "The customer is always right?" Unless a customer asks you for help, you shouldn't tell them what they should and shouldn't buy. And even if they do ask for help, their decision is something that's right for them. I'd much rather play Gears 2 than Bionic Commando, and I wouldn't want someone at a store getting mad because I made that choice.

My roomate rented the game...while it doesn't look "stupid"...its far from amazing and deserving of a lot of consumer dollars.
sold a bit less than i thought...but oh well.

Yea... wasn't Capcom expecting around 2 million from both versions combined? They're lucky Resident Evil 5 was such a big success.
