I'm actually still confused on when it tells you to "draw" your card. It didn't show up anywhere in that video other than just telling the player to draw (or search being the better term).

-edit-
The more I think about it, yeah, I pretty much agree with Fuzz on this.

1) You have to buy an extra accessory.
2) You have to buy the cards.
3) Registering every card in your deck one by one will suck.
4) Modifying your deck is going to be just as annoying (because you will modify the deck after most games).
5) There's no point to the cards. None at all. Furthermore, you have to line up the cards just right to get them read.
6) You can still print your own cards.
7) There's no depth to the game. This might be good for people that don't do CCG's (you know, the people that this game isn't marketed towards) but anyone who has even played Pokemon will see an extremely shallow game.
8) In any tic tac toe type of game, the player who goes first has an extreme advantage.
9) Those animations for drawing, playing a card, summoning, getting mana, casting a spell, attacking, defending, and everything else better be skippable (which they won't because it's two player across distance). They will be cool for the first few games but they will get old very quickly.

1 - there like 10 wii accesories, PS2 eye games sold well enough.
2 - No shiet, you have to buy cards for a dunn dunn dun a card game.
3 - i guess playing agianst cheeters is more fun.
4 - your opinion, based on nothing.
5 - lIts a card game, why cant you understand that?
6 - WTF
7 - those that played have said he opposite but you would know better, right.
8 - lol
9 - yahh counting the stats your self would be much more fun.

1. Yes, but what does the accessory add? Well, the ability to add 2 streams of revenue. Although yes, there will be other uses for other games. We aren't talking about those dodge the falling ball by jumping games yet.
2. First time I recall having to buy cards for a game where I bought the software to play the game. That would be the complaint.
3. No, but deck management seems potentially like a chore, hopefully it's implimented well.
4. Or experience playing CCGs, if you are playing for fun, you modify them for balance, if you are playing to win, you modify them to enhance strengths and cover weaknesses. A good CCG will have thousands of strategies and counter strategies
5. Once more, it's a card game that is limited by itself (That could be justified later), requires software to play, software that really doesn't need the cards other than to make you pay more. Why can't you understand that?
6. Depending on how in depth the bar code is, I can't see it being all difficult for some company rather than selling the correct printed cards, a blank card with a bar code for any card you want.
7. Could be good, but 2 types, and 120 cards seems very limited. That is certainly a wait and see, but isn't very promising. Cthulu alone has about 15 mask cards. Masks. One type of one artifact. Recall the thousands of strategies? 120 cards and 2 types doesn't sound promising yet. Though it may be amazing.
8. If you go first in standard tic Tac Toe, unless you are retarded, you cannot lose. This is a gameplay issue that I havn't seen resolved, but I presume will be.
9. It's a card game. Why can't you understand that? Also, yes, it's kinda cool, but from the video I saw, combat will take a very long ass time compared to a normal card game. Especially considering is base math. 6 attack vers 4 defence, 2 damage. Takes .2 seconds to calculate, or 12 seconds to watch animations, hear screams etc.

Is see you're basing your defense on the "I'll insult the complaints" rather than "I'll disprove these with rational perspectives they missed or information".

See Ya George.

"He did not die - He passed Away"

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.

Anyone care to bet with me on the fact that this is gonna flop worse than LAIR?

This is my next 'belly flop' target... this has minuscule appeal.

I'd say sales will be under 100k. The setup and everything is too much of a hassle for all but the die-hard fans. But they will love it.

The only card game of this type I've played was the one in some Might & Magic game. That was fun though, I would play it if it was available as a free or really cheap stand-alone game. But trading cards? Not my cup of tea.

As always people focus on FUD ,if there is Sony involved in something, instead of informing themselves accurately (I'm looking at you twesterm because you don't seem to get how the online system works) and based on that trying to formulate some points they want to see integrated.
Alot of you guys always make it seem like there is a 1000% possibility none of the devs ever considered your worries and therefore there can't be a countermeasurement.

Contrary to what many people here seem to believe I do see no reason why Sony would make money from the cards, for the mechanics of the game have been developed by Wizards of the Coast/Hasbro and the cards will surely be designed and printed by those who have the know-how and methods to do this. I think Wizards/Hasbro wouldn't have been involved in this project ,if there wasn't a good way to profit from that for them.

I don't see this being a millionseller either , but maybe it doesn't even have to break even , for I believe it's a testrun for the big titles ,but not to evaluate ,if consumers want it or not , but rather to work out a system that is fun and manages to bring online multiplayer to card games. After it has been completed I see a good chance of the big titles (namely yu-gi-oh , Magic ,..) comming aswell no matter how successful or unsuccessful the test run was , for trading card makers have to expand their game to not suffer from being too backward like the music and film industry is at the moment (they get eaten alive by the video games industry).

Now please lynch me for I'm a blind Sony follower who will waste all his money on this game (that's not a joke).

I don't see anything about this on the WotC website.

The PSEye is really interesting, a great webcam and could be used for interesting augmented reality projects. Put yourself in "Afrika" or "Aqua"...that would be cool.

It will be interesting to see how it works in the real world, with lightning etc. The old EyeToy was quite hard to set up in a normal room.

I have a feeling it'll flop lol.

 like the Wii did?

You don't honestly think a completely optional and very expensive peripheral for a struggling console with a completely different userbase has any chance of ever being what the Wii or DS are do you?

You started of great, then showed your true ways as a nintendo fangirl.

The game isnt going to flop for the simple reason it comes with the PS EYE. Seeing your last comment you stated the ps3 cant be like the wii and the ds in terms of sales? Dont underestimate sony, or the playstation brand for that matter.

Oh, so I'm the fangirl for stating the obvious but you're not a fanboy at all for defending the PS-Eye with nothing more than, "It's Sony, don't under estimate them". You seriously want people to buy I'm the fangirl here after a doozy like that on your part? "Don't understimate Sony?" I beg your pardon, what exactly are you basing this on? Because everything I see suggests that the PS3 is spiraling further and further  downward into the pit it dug itself, losing momentum with each set back.

How can you call me a "fangirl" for such a modest contribution then follow it up with such a fanboyish defense? Do you honestly listen to yourself?

You want me anyone to actually buy that I'm the fangirl here after a doozy like that? Don't underestimate Sony? I beg your pardon, what exactly are you basing this on? Because all available evidence I see seems to suggest that the PS3 spiraling futher and further downward losing more and more momentum with every set back.

*yawn*

people are getting provocative and aggressive again and it's really annoying ... when will there be an ignore option?

@ Girl Gamer Elite )

I wonder why you jumped at ssj12 for him just using the Wii as an example where an innovation got accepted by the consumers to conter Sorikos "I have a feeling it will flop lol". I don't think he ment ,that it will sell like the Wii , but rather ,that it just won't flop.
That you completely snapped when leo-j called you names shows ,that you have to learn to relax on the forums .. I won't say anything to leo-j though , because he is just a lost case.

@ Neos )

do we really need "owned" posts on this forum?
