Forums - Sony - PS EYE and EYE of judgment gameplay

It won't flop... I mean wizards of the coast are behind this game (magic)... This game could open the gate for other card games that are popular today. Sony has an open field to explore if this is the case... ie Yugioho etc

Being released for the holidays, this could be the game people pick up just to try something new.

Its a SCE japan studios game, they are the ones that always try experimental type games success is not as important if it were some 3rd party developer that had their entire future riding on the game.

Like your reply did. Flopped right on your own face.

"Okay, a lot of people seem to be confused about how the game is going to work online. If you were thinking that, players would just draw the cards they wanted, when they wanted, off camera, that will not work.

You have to scan your deck to your online profile before the match starts. The computer then randomly shuffles the cards for you, and randomly deals you a virtual hand. IF you try to play a card that is not part of your virtual hand, the game will not let you play it.

I don't have a link to prove it, but I believe the guy said it in one of the interviews on GT. I am thinking players will just sort their decks by monster, spell or whatever, so the virtual cards can be easily found."

Good good, glad that is in there. But then you've got a 100% emulated game that has a Camera and cards for no good reason but for an enormous cash grab. Absolutely every step but placement is done on the Ps3, including the god damn animation and attacks.

I suppose that was expected, but it bothers me.

Yeah, oh well.  It's better that way so that it's fair. I still really like the game ^_^

Having spent 0 dollars historically and not yet owning a Ps3, I think I can safely say I won't ever be buying it.

But this kinda bugs me. Though gameplay elements won't be figured out till I play it (Friends who are addicted to CCG's also have a ps3, so I'll get to at least see it in action), but it seems like nothing more than a cash grab doubled for a game that as of yet doesn't seem in depth of complicated.

Then again, CCG's themselves are cash grabs, so meh. I enjoy them, but enjoy them so long as they are free.

You don't honestly think a completely optional and very expensive peripheral for a struggling console with a completely different userbase has any chance of ever being what the Wii or DS are do you?
