Forums - Sony - Question for those who have finised inFAMOUS. EPIC, GLORIOUS SPOILERS!!!

I just finished the game.  I opted to save Trish when I got the chance, and when I tried I realised I had been tricked and she died anyway. The question is this.  IF you opt to be 'good' and save the five doctors that includes Trish (unbeknownst to you), does the game pretend the alternate reality never happened and Trish dies as the single woman on the other building?

I ask because I was disappointed when I discovered I had accidentally let Trish die, but the ending led me to believe that whatever I had done she would have wound up dead?

Basically yes. She falls, gives you a little pep talk for being so heroey and awesome, and then dies.

...

Bugger.

Kinda liked that character. Oh well, it was one of like TWO evil decisions I made in the whole game to try and save her. And it's not like trying to save the woman you love is evil...

Yeah, I was going for good on that one so I just assumed the right choice was to go for the 5 doctors, greater good and all that. Although I also assumed he would somehow save everyone Batman style. I was kind of dissapointed to hear that there's no way she can live, but it makes sense that future Cole wouldn't let her live.

so that u gotta think!!! it could be that the AI is so advanced Kessler is actually judging your actions in real time!!! and by the time you make it to that point ...... he will know....O_o BEHOLD DA C3L1!!!!

It is possible that in a future reality (in the sequel) Cole will travel back in time to save her.

As for the ending, I cannot decided if I like it.  On the one hand I really didn't see it coming.  On the other hand, an entire premise of the game is contextual realism.  Man created a device that lets people with certain biological characteristics conduct electricity and manipulate the mind.

The whole going back in time thing annihilated that contextual realism for me.
