I think it will sell in the 3.5-4.0 million range

1. It will get better reviews than the first Uncharted. The first Uncharted was reviewed in the 8.0-9.1 range. I think U2 will be reviewed in the 9.0-9.7 range, putting it among the elite games this gen.

2. Bigger user base than when the first Uncharted came out

3. Graphically stunning. Probably the best looking console game on the market when it comes out.

4. Multiplayer and Co-op add a ton of replay value and will bring in a whole new demographic of fans.

5. IIRC Sony had just fired the marketing firm when they released the first Uncharted. They had been with that marketing firm since the original PS was released. Naturally, Uncharted was not advertised properly as it had a new marketing team behind it that had no experience in the video game industry. Uncharted relied on word of mouth (and bundles) to sell, and it still did over 2 million. Check out Uncharted's first week sales in America. Quite pathetic. U2 1st week sales will probably be DOUBLE that amount.

6. Uncharted 2 will be released right around the time of a price drop for the Ps3. Perfect position to be many ppls first Ps3 game.

I dont care about metacritic. I predict a 9.0-9.5 at GameSpot and 9.5-9.9 from IGN. Those are the 2 most viewed gaming sites, so they obviously matter the most.

3 Million? ehhhhhh... I think that's a "safe" prediction.

1. Naughty Dog does very good with sequels. Jak 3 was the best in the entire series. The Crash Bandicoot games continually improved. The one big knock on the first Uncharted was that the game was "too short" and didnt have enough replay value. Now with MP and Co-op it will have tremendous replay value. U2 also now has a stealth element to it, and Drake has a lot of new moves. Judging from the videos and Beta, I can see this game has been improved A LOT (moreso than AC2 and Bioshock2). I garauntee it will get better reviews than the first Uncharted.

4. I've been playing the U2 mp and co-op beta for a week now and can tell you it's absolutely amazing.

5. InFAMOUS was advertised very well. I'm sure Uncharted 2 will be as well.

6. Oct/Nov at the latest. Which is around the same time U2 will come out.

and what are you talking about the first game sales of +500,000??? You know Uncharted: Drakes Fortune sold well over 2+ Million copies, right???

5. I saw tons. You must not get out enough. I saw InFamous ads on IGN, GameSpot, TV commercials, In-store ads, magazine ads, etc.

6. Common sense. It's coming. I would be absolutely shocked if there wasnt a price drop by that time.

According to vgchartz, the first one sold 2.44 million copies... so I guess your prediction is more in the 3 million range.

5.ok, so the games may get a couple of advertisements on gaming sites, mags, gaming stores, etc. but those people are already going to know about it. . the average gamer is not going to see anything about it.(remember some people don't spend their lives looking at videogame stuff
