I'm not a big fan of the genre but I'm also a bona fide graphic whore so you bet your sweet ass I'm getting Alan Wake.

Also I had a laughing fit the first time I saw Pyramid-head which while enjoyable in and off itself isn't what I'm really looking for in horror.

@Seece: I stop liking the series after 2, which imo was still the best MK game ever made, something just seems incredibly off about the game 3 onward, the transition to 3D was ok but there just wasn't the same feel to the game that the first 2 MK gave me (eerily creepy)

I was going to by a PS3 just for the game if they kept the BC but...they didn't...And Sega's best game this Gen is Sega Genesis collection ^_^

2...? really? I always liked 3 more...this could be because that was the only one that I physically owned. The rest I'd play at friends houses.

3 lost the MK feel for me, the game just felt more sanitized...

To give you an analogy MK 1 and 2 feels like the old Jacky Chan movies that he use to make in Hong Kong while MK 3 and onward felt like the movies he made after going to Hollywood. The Hollywood films /MK3beyond are still enjoyable but a certain something just felt 'missing', as if the 'soul' of the series was stolen in an effort to commercialise it. Did that make sense?

Lies the collections are (some of) the best games of the 8-16bit generation! How dare you tarnish their glory.

PS: Who says anything about owning a PS3? You should have acted as any delusional fanatical fanboy should and get the game anyways... even if you can't play it.
