3 lost the MK feel for me, the game just felt more sanitized...
To give you an analogy MK 1 and 2 feels like the old Jacky Chan movies that he use to make in Hong Kong while MK 3 and onward felt like the movies he made after going to Hollywood. The Hollywood films /MK3beyond are still enjoyable but a certain something just felt 'missing', as if the 'soul' of the series was stolen in an effort to commercialise it. Did that make sense?
